Who said that the Octoberfest is only celebrated in Germany? A number of countries are today putting such an event into their yearly planning and the UK is no exception! Most probably, one would ask if this will be a typical German Oktoberfest! Sure …… there’s always some typical German sausages to make this look and feel as being an orginal one!! 😉
Who better than a German make to organises such an event? Yeah, we’re referring to BMW and this Oktoberfest we’ve been through, was organised by one of BMW’s authorised dealers in London! BMW Bhanstormer in Alton organised an Oktoberfest last Saturday, the 25th of October! Typical German sausages complimented the event together with a number of new and used BMW motorcycles at discounted prices!
But do you go to a BMW importer just to enjoy an Oktoberfest? Surely not, right? 😉 And same for us!! One had the possibility to test drive any of the bikes on display, be it new and 2nd hand ones! All BMW range was available, including the latest BMW R1200GS/A liquid cooled and the Nine T. Available on show were as well a couple of the new colours for 2015. It was so good to be there on this day …… rode bikes, had fun and above all had the chance to enjoy some German sausages ….. and beer of course! 🙂

It was not just about bikes and German sausages though! 🙂 A number of BMW employees were available to share their views about these exceptional bikes and help out in any way they could? Needed some info about a particular BMW you own? They were there to answer to any of the questions! Needed info about some of the present models? They were so well informed and hands on on these models! Or searching for more details about the upcoming 2015 models? Again, they so professionally answered to any of the questions one had!
Customer service is surely something they’re well trained for but definitely they do show too that what they’re doing isn’t just a job for them, it’s a passion ….. just like us bikers when driving a bike! We don’t use motorcycles just as a means of transportation, we use it as we love it, we love being so close to nature, love that wind on our face!
