Motorcycle Tours In Darwin Victoria North South Australia

Here again we are today sharing with you some other info on mtorcycle tours that are being organised, by specialist companies, throughout almost the whole world! For sure we, bikers, can never say that we don’t have any options 🙂 This time the article is taking us far far away ……….. in Australia. Only few companies are giving us the possibility to visit such a country / island on 2 wheels and Compass Expeditions is nowadays one of them too!

After many years of offering motorcycle tours in South America, Compass Expeditions have finally released two Australian rides, scheduled for August and September 2012. The first ride, named as the Outback Explorer, starts in Melbourne and travels the iconic Birdsville Track and finishes in Darwin. The second ride, named as Australia Encompassed, starts in Darwin and takes in the Oonadatta Track, before finishing in Melbourne!

Speaking to them, this is what they told us. “Having recently ridden these routes ourselves, we were moved by the incredible beauty but more so the utter wilderness and overwhelming silence of the Australian Outback. It really is a special place and we are looking forward to visiting it again and again.”

What’s next than guys? Let us continue sharing these incredible experiences together! Check out all the details about these two incredible rides at Compass Expeditions‘s website. It’s important to note that, as with all Compass tours, there will only be a maximum of 10 bikes, no glorified bus tours here, so book early to avoid disappointment, as they say!!

** Rental bikes are also available for those who would like to take a self guided tours!

Just like it was mentioned on some other articles, the discount of 2.5% still applies, for BikersCurve.com readers, on these tours too! Enjoy guys!

    • Hi Peter,

We’re emailing our contact in Australia hoping they can help you with some routes. If you prefer not to ride / ship your bike all the way to Australia, they’re even offering rentals now. They have almost the whole range of BMW enduro bikes and some Suzukis too. Until they get back to you, if you wish more details about these rentals, you can check out our latest article.

      Thanks for visiting our blog!

  1. I want to ride from cairns to Katoomba NSW and melbourne via Sale in Victoria. Rental costs are of deep concern.

    • Hi Peter,

For some technical reason, the post that our contact in Australia sent you didn’t show up. I’m herewith sending you a copy of it.

      “Hi Peter

The guys from Bikers Curve have asked me to email you in regards to possible bike rental from Cairns to Adelaide. This is a ride that could feasibly be done in around 3 weeks but could take you a lot longer if desired. We can easily arrange a rental bike to be waiting for you in Cairns and dropped in Adelaide. If you go to http://www.compassexpeditions.com and click on our rentals page you will see our pricing. For further information feel free to email me directly on mick@compassexpeditions.com

Unless you were considering a 6 month long trip around Australia the considerable expanse and hassle to ship your own bike into Australia simply does not make it worth shipping, it truly is a nightmare but more importantly expensive. The actual shipping isn’t to too bad but it is the plethora of port, AQIS, transport and permit charges that soon add up.

As mentioned I would be happy to assist you in your planning and any bike needs if you would like

      Best regards
      Mick McDonald”
