  1. Hello,

Through GS Giants on Facebook I found your ad about the March 2015 Tour that Charley Borman will be part of. The Spousal Unit has given the go ahead to research this a bit, with the caveat that she travels to OZ also! So, do you have pricing info available yet? I would be renting a bike, most likely a DR650 or smaller BMW GS. I ride a 2007 GSA and 2001 DR650 now. Just a little background, I have done off road ride in Ecuador on a DR650 and travelled to all four corners of the US and Canada (Key West Florida, Prudhoe Bay Alaska, St Anthony New Foundland and San Diego CA) on my GSA. I ride regularly, on and off road.

    • Hi Andy

Great to hear that you have a “leave pass” from your wife.

I am currently leading the Road of Bones Expedition across Siberia but have instructed the office to post a reply here with all the pricing.

Drop us an email directly if you prefer at info@compassexpeditions.com and we can definitely sort you out.

The Charley Booorman ride is certainly a ride with a difference, he is a great guy to be around and Billy isn’t too bad either!!!!!!

      Best Regards
      Mick McDonald

    • Hi Andy,

Great to hear that you’re thinking of joint Charley and Billy on the Sydney to the the Outback Tour next year. Its a fantastic tour and as Mick said Charley and Billy are a good laugh to be around!

We cover some of the best riding areas of Australia on this trip and the Outback parts of Australia are stunning!

You would need to arrive into Sydney for the bonus pre-tour accommodation night on 10th March 2015 with final night of accommodation on the 20th of March.

Tour cost depends on which motorcycle you wish to ride during the tour and you mentioned the DR 650 or a smaller GS but I’ll give all the price options here:

      Tour cost riding a DR 650 – AU $6,900
Tour cost riding a BMW G650GS Sertao – AU $6,950
      Tour cost riding a BMW F650GS or F700GS Twin – AU $7,100
      Tour cost riding a BMW F800GS – AU $7,150
      Tour cost riding a BMW R1200GS – AU $7,300

Cost for pillion (Can ride on back of bike or in support vehicle) – AU $4,800

We just need a completed booking form on our website and a 10% deposit to secure your spots on this popular trip.

We’d be happy to answer any questions that you or your wife has about the trip and it will be great to have you ride with us. Please drop us an e-mail at info@compassexpeditions.com with further questions.

      Best Regards
