Once again we are giving you some news update on the tours organised by Compass Expeditions! This time, except from the usual news on new routes, new rental locations, etc ….. we have something even more exciting! What I’m going to tell you now is even exciting for co-founder Mick McDonald, imagine how you can be excited about this!
What it is? Let me tell you! Charley Boorman, together with his manager, and good friend, Billy Ward, will be leading 2 tours of Compass Expeditions in 2013, namely Sydney to the Outback and Tasmania and the High Country. These tours will begin on the 6th and 25th February consecutively. Both tours will be for a duration of 10 days.
The first tour, the Sydney to the Outback, will include places like Parkes, Hillston, Eldee Station, Parachilna, Lyndock Hill, Birdwood, Salt Creek, Halls Gap, Port Campbell and Melbourne, where the tour will end. This tour will cover, in total, approx 3300km and will be focused on the following places; Sydney & The Blue Mountains, Silverton & Eldee Station, Flinders Ranges, Coorong National Park, Grampians National Park & Great Ocean Road! The 2nd tour, the Tasmania & The High country will cover Devonport, Scottsdale, St. Mary’s, Port Arthur, Snug, Kingston, Cygnet, Hobart, Russell Falls, Strahan, Cradle Mountain, Melbourne, Healesville, Bright, Jindabyne, Bega, Bateman’s Bay and Sydney, where the tour ends. This will be a total of approx 2700km. The main highlights of this tour will be the stunning Freycinet National Park, Port Arthur, Franklin-Gordon Wild River National Park, Strahan, the Victorian High Country, Mt Kosciusko and the spectacular coastal ride into Sydney!
