I haven’t been to a number of motorcycle shows so far but, from those that I’ve had the pleasure to attend to, I can say that the best one I’ve ever visited was the International Motorcycle & Scooter Show, at the NEC centre in Birmingham! I went once to a show in Paris, Milan and in London. I don’t know if I expected too much but I thought that, being organised by MCN, the London Motorcycle Show was going to be much better than it was! I was really deceived!
The International Motorcycle & Scooter Show is again just a couple of months away. There’s a number of bikers that are eagerly waiting for the latest news to be unveiled in this year’s show. One of the most awaited news is what’s going to happen with the BMW R1200GS. Questions are being asked about it’s new water-cooled boxer engine, whether this will really happen and in 2012!!
For those who haven’t as yet checked the dates, it’s going to be held from the 19th till the 27th of November and, as usual, the venue is going to be at the NEC Birmingham!! Just like any other year, the things to do at this event are never ending; starting from just looking at the models on display, be it present models, launching and / or hints of the next years ones, possibility test your skills at the off-road and enduro experience, option to join some of the organised tours specifically tailor-made for such event, the chance to get on a motorcycle for the 1st time, etc …. etc ….. Also, the Ramp’d up team will be there to give us an introduction to freestyle motorcross. In few words, just name it and it’s there ……. definitely the show to attend to.
Until today, the total number of bike manufacturers that will be displaying their models are 33, of which some are the world known ones, such as BMW, Aprilia, Harley Davidson, Yamaha, Triumph, Suzuki, Honda, etc …..
For those coming with their bikes, Yamaha is offering a safe and secure undercover park free of charge. Bikers can then put their minds at rest that their so much loved bike is well taken care of 🙂
Tickets can be bought from the door or online, through their official website, http://www.motorcyclelive.co.uk. Prices start from £6 for the children and goes up to £16 for the adults. Seniors enjoy a special price of £10. On the door prices are between £2 – £3 more expensive. More detailed info about this event can be found on this same link too!
