Dakar 2013 Dates Paris Dakar

Dakar 2013 KarcherIt’s November, the end of November, and most of us who like motorcycle sports, especially those into Enduro riding, will surely be looking forward for another 2 weeks emotions! Yes, am referring to the Dakar race, formerly known the Paris Dakar!

As one might know, the now known Dakar Race used to be organised beginning from Paris and finishing in Dakar. Due to some serious terrorists threats, the 2008 race was cancelled at the last minute and, up until today, it has never been organised as it was once. Instead, the organizers, decided to take this race to another continent, South America!

2009 saw this first race organised in Peru, Argentina & Chile and so will it be in 2013. Race will start on the 5th of January, from Lima, and will see its drivers going through places such as Pisco, Nazca, Arequipa, Arica, Calama, Salta, San Miguel de Tucuma, Cordoba, La Rioja, Fiambala, Copiapo, La Serena & finish off in Santiago, on the 20th of January! Surely an amazing journey across 3 South American countries covering just under 8500km!

Everyone is looking forward to see who the riders for next year’s event are going to be! What we can tell you today is that one of the drivers, Simon Pavey, will be sponsored by one of our partners, Compass Expeditions!

It’s definitely another race not to miss and, if you’re going to be in the vicinity, make sure you’re present for the beginning and/or end of the race!
